Educator Cello has been specifically
designed for use by music teachers and
students. From recitals and live
performances to classroom teaching and
practice, the Educator Cello delivers
excellent acoustic-electric tone and
stylistic versatility.
Zeta's patented Strados
cello pickup system delivers a
clean, rich natural string tone.
Whether used as an analog pickup or a
digital MIDI pickup in conjunction
with the Zeta Synthony
II MIDI Controller / Synthesizer
(sold separately), the Educator
Cello’s Strados pickup system
delivers beautiful tone without
feedback.
Zeta's proprietary internal active
preamp system increases the power of
the pickup signal from each individual
string, leading to separate internal
gain controls to provide for even
string balance. Two internal 9-volt
batteries provide over 1,000 hours of
service on average.
The active electronics and on-board
volume, treble, and bass controls
provide extensive tonal flexibility
for performance and recording
applications.

headphones into the auxiliary
output jack for Silent
Practice.
- “Play-a-long”
with the music by connecting a CD
player or other music source into
the auxiliary input jack.
- Use
the built-in volume control
to blend the level of the incoming
music signal with the volume of
the instrument to get the perfect
“practice mix”.

recital performances use the
standard 1/4” analog output jack
and Zeta’s AE-12
Amplifier to fill the concert
hall with rich, feedback-free
sound.

The
Educator Cello’s graceful design
echoes the classic acoustic cello
outline in a fusion
of slim lines and stylistic body
dimensions. The body is select
natural-finished alder tonewood, and
the “set neck” is hardrock maple
with a hardwood fingerboard. The
Educator Cello includes a special
detachable chest body-rest and
knee-guide to maintain the feel and
positioning cues of a traditional
acoustic cello.
Compact and lightweight, the Educator
Cello transports easily and
efficiently. Exclusive to Zeta, a
deluxe soft-padded zippered gig
bag is included with the Educator
Cello, providing portability with
protection.
