Zeta's E-Series Pickup System delivers a rich, natural acoustic sounding string tone. Whether used as an analog pickup or a digital MIDI pickup in conjunction with the Zeta Synthony II MIDI Controller / Synthesizer (sold separately), the E-Modern violin’s E-Series pickup system delivers beautiful tone without feedback.

Zeta's proprietary internal active preamp system increases the power of the pickup signal from the E-Series pickup. This high-tech innovation provides a wide range of amplification flexibility, supporting a variety of tonal characteristics suitable to diverse playing techniques and styles of music. An internal 9-volt battery provides over 1,000 hours of service on average.

Zeta’s Modern Body violin body design employs simplified yet elegant contemporary lines. Extreme waist cutaways and a highly sculpted back relief create a lightweight solid body design. With the key reference dimensions of a traditional acoustic violin, the Modern violin body maintains the critical violin positional cues.

An innovative "bolt-on" Neck design provides structural integrity at the neck/body joint and is available in 4 or 5-string versions. The bodies are lightweight Basswood in high-gloss opaque colors, or beautifully figured Maple Top bodies in high-gloss Trans & Burst colors.

The E-Modern violin features a standard maple neck with ebony fingerboard, ebony chin rest, high quality tailpiece with fine tuners, ebony tuning pegs, on-board volume control, standard ¼" output jack, and multi-pin MIDI output jack.

The E-Modern violin is factory equipped with a set of Zeta electric Strings, specially manufactured for Zeta by the D'Addario string company.

A custom-fit, molded molded hardshell SKB case is included with each E-Modern violin.
