Performer Series instruments combine the results of decades of Zeta’s intensive high tech innovation and creative design with highly evolved form and function to provide the professional musician with the ultimate performing and recording instrument.

The high gloss and natural finishes of the solid-body Performer Series instruments give an elegant, stylistic look while the use of lightweight tone woods lends aesthetic appeal to the instruments and minimizes weight. The instruments are available in a choice of opaque colors or beautiful trans & burst colors on figured maple tops. Standard-dimension maple necks with hardwood fingerboards are combined with professional quality hardware and custom strings to create an exceptional electric instrument.

The Performer Series Modern and Classic Violins, and the Performer Series Modern Viola feature a choice of Zeta’s patented analog/digital E-Series, Strados Series or Jazz Series pickup systems. Each of the three pickup Series has its own distinctive tonality that is applicable to different playing styles and music.

The Performer Series Strados Fusion Cello, Strados Standard Cello, Strados CrossOver Bass and Strados Fusion UpRite Bass employ the analog/digital Strados Series pickup system.

Zeta’s flagship Jazz Fusion Violins, Jazz Fusion Viola, Jazz Standard Cello and Jazz Standard UpRite feature Zeta’s proprietary analog/digital Jazz Series pickup system exclusively.

Zeta’s E-Series, Strados Series and Jazz Series pickup systems all support both analog output, and digital output capability when used in conjunction Zeta’s Synthony II MIDI Controller / Synthesizer (sold separately). The E-Series pickups support mono-MIDI functions, while the Strados and Jazz pickup systems support full multi-string MIDI capability.

An internal active preamp system is installed in each Performer Series instrument. The preamp increases the output level of the pickup signal, allowing for a greater range of sound adjustment and tonal refinement. This feature is especially significant when amplification adjustments are needed in live performance situations, or when running a signal into a recording studio mixing console. Individual internal controls allow for adjustment of each string to achieve perfect string balance.

There are times when nothing but an acoustic violin will suffice. For those special times, Zeta has created the Acoustic Pro violins.

Available with each of ZETA's 3 patented pickup systems - the Acoustic Pro, Strados Acoustic Pro, and Jazz Acoustic Pro violins provide the versatility of an acoustic violin along with the amplification features of an electric violin. The Acoustic Pro violins from Zeta bridge the gap between acoustic and amplified electronic instrument applications without feedback problems.

Unique among acoustic-electric violins, each Acoustic Pro features a specially designed ultra-lightweight internal preamp system that increases the power of the pickup signal leading to the violin’s output jack. This high-tech innovation results in a rich acoustic tone with greater amplification flexibility, allowing for adjustment of the amplified violin sound to achieve a wide range of tonal characteristics that are preferred for different playing techniques and styles of music.

Zeta’s AE-12 Amplifier has been specially designed to support the high frequencies required by bowed instruments in order to deliver pure, clear tone in an easy to use format.

The Simple Solution to String Amplification, this 40 watt amplifier is light and portable. Features include a built-in reverb, a high performance 12" speaker and separate compression horn, one high input for passive electronics and a second low input for active electronics with separate volume controls, and a 4-band EQ that provides wide tonal versatility for live performances.

Designed specifically for use with electric violins, violas, cellos and string basses, the AE-12 amplifier’s frequency response and electronic crossovers have been optimized to enhance the distinctive tonal qualities of stringed instruments. Unlike guitar or keyboard amps, the AE-12 supports the high frequency ranges that are vital for amplifying electric strings.

The amp also includes a ¼" Line output jack for auxiliary amps, PA or recording studio applications, and is covered with durable back tolex with reinforced corners. The AE-12 amplifier is 16.5" wide, 11.5" deep, 20" high, and weighs 31 pounds.
