Solid-Body
Electric Violins, Viola, Cello and Uprite Bass
Educator
Series instruments combine the best of Zeta’s years of
high tech innovation and creative design with fundamental
form and function to provide the music educator with
instruments that are practical, affordable, and highly
inspiring to students.
The natural finish of the solid-body Educator Series
instruments gives a practical yet elegant look while the use
of lightweight tone woods lends aesthetic appeal to the
instruments and minimizes weight. Standard-dimension maple
necks with hardwood fingerboards are combined with quality
hardware and strings to create a simple,
yet functional and flexible electric instrument.
The
Educator Modern
and Classic
violins, and the Educator Modern Viola
feature Zeta’s patented analog/digital E-Series
pickup system. The Educator Cello

Acoustic-Electric
Violins
There
are times when nothing but an acoustic violin will do. For
those teaching and practice situations that benefit by
having a fully functional acoustic violin, Zeta has created
the Educator Acoustic
¾ and full-size violins. Featuring the great
acoustic-electric tone of the Zeta E-Series
analog pickup system, the Educator Acoustic violins give the
versatility of an acoustic violin along with the
amplification features of an electric violin. The Educator
Acoustic violins from Zeta bridge the gap between acoustic
and electronic instrument applications and are an excellent
introduction to electronic music.
- Teach,
practice & perform acoustically.
- Take
advantage of the ¾ size option to introduce
younger students to the basics of amplified electronic
music.
- Plug-in
to the custom Zeta tailpiece (with mini output jack and
volume control) and use Zeta’s AE-12
amplifier to fill the concert hall with rich,
feedback-free sound.
- "Go
Electronic" and explore the sound options of electronic
effects processor units (not included) to create the
rich reverb of a large concert hall, or exotic sound
effects and loops.
- Use
the E-Series pickup and make in-house recordings
of recitals, concerts or practice sessions.

Amplifier | AE-12
Zeta’s
AE-12
Amplifier has been specially designed to support the
high frequencies required by bowed instruments in order to
deliver pure, clear tone in an easy to use format.
The
Simple Solution to String Amplification,
this 40 watt amplifier is light, easy to carry and
economical. Features include a built-in reverb, a high
performance 12" speaker and separate compression horn,
one high input for passive electronics and a second low
input for active electronics with separate volume controls,
and a 4-band EQ that provides wide tonal versatility.
Designed
specifically for use with electric violins, violas, cellos
and string basses, the Educator Series amplifier’s
frequency response and electronic crossovers have been
optimized to enhance the distinctive tonal qualities of
stringed instruments. Unlike guitar or keyboard amps, the
AE-12 supports the high frequency ranges that are vital for
amplifying electric strings.
The
amp also includes a ¼" Headphone output jack for
silent practice, a ¼" Line output jack for PA or
recording studio applications, and is covered with durable
back tolex with reinforced corners. The AE-12 Educator
Series amplifier is 16.5" wide, 11.5" deep,
20" high, and weighs 31 pounds.
The
AE-12 Educator Series amplifier is…the Simple Solution to
String Amplification.
